Saint Fulton J. Sheen?!

So far two miracles have been reported for the cause of Archbishop Sheen's canonization. At present he is officially a "Servant of God." The Diocese of Pittsburgh is involved in one of the miracles which could elevate him to "Blessed."

The other miracle has to do with a 72 year old woman who was reportedly healed of a tear in her main pulmonary artery while undergoing lung surgery through the late archbishop's intercession. The woman is still alive today and in good health.

It is highly unusual for the required two miracles for sainthood to be reported this early in a cause for canonization which was only opened three years ago. But with a man like Fulton J. Sheen, would you expect anything less?

Check out the official site for his canonization here.
